About me
Steve Storkan is Executive Director of the Employee Ownership Expansion Network (EOX), a national nonprofit expanding employee ownership across the United States through a network of State Centers and national partnerships. Under Steve’s leadership, EOX has grown into a national infrastructure-building organization helping business owners, advisors, policymakers, economic developers, and community partners better understand employee ownership as a practical path for business succession, worker wealth, and locally rooted economic resilience.
Steve has spent decades working in and around employee-owned companies and is a nationally recognized advocate for broad-based employee ownership. Through EOX, he supports State Centers that provide model-neutral education on employee ownership, trusted referrals, and close-to-home navigation for business owners exploring Employee Stock Ownership Plans, Worker Cooperatives, Employee Ownership Trusts, and other employee ownership pathways. Steve regularly speaks with business and community audiences about how employee ownership can help preserve legacy businesses, retain jobs, strengthen local economies, and give more workers a meaningful stake in the value they help create.
