About me
Lia James designs spaces where people move past surface-level exchange into something more honest and generative. She's the founder of &Human, a connection design studio working in live gatherings, film, and participatory training that help teams and communities build trust on purpose. Her work is grounded in behavioral science and shaped by hands-on experience helping organizations like NOAA, The Smithsonian, Enoch Pratt Free Library, Coursera, ThoughtWorks, Emerson, Staples, and more bring people together in ways that build better products and more resilient cultures. Through &Human she created The Convergence Method, a framework for human-centered facilitation; Betting on Us, a connection card deck; and original media exploring belonging, trust, and collective imagination.
